Senegal entry requirements for Oman passport holders
Omani passport holders can get a visa on arrival in Senegal. No need to apply in advance — just show up at the airport in Dakar with your documents and pay the fee. This has been the case since 2024 and remains the standard procedure in 2025.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Visa on arrival Visa on arrival | Get a visa on arrival at Dakar Blaise Diagne International Airport (DSS). Pay the fee in cash (CFA francs, euros, or US dollars) — have exact change ready. The process takes 10–15 minutes at the counter before immigration. | Required |
| Valid passport Must be valid for the duration of stay | Your passport must be valid for at least the length of your stay in Senegal. Airlines at Muscat (MCT) may ask for 6 months validity — check with your carrier before flying. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Proof of departure from Senegal | Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed copy or a screenshot ready on your phone. Airlines at departure may also check this before boarding. | Required |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or host invitation | Carry a printed hotel confirmation or an invitation letter from your host. Officers rarely ask for it, but having it avoids delays at the visa-on-arrival counter. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Cash or bank statement | Have at least 200,000 CFA francs (~$330 USD) in cash or a recent bank statement. Officers almost never check this for Oman passport holders, but the law allows them to ask. | Recommended |

- Holders of a valid US, Schengen, or UK visa may transit without visa for up to 72 hours if they have a confirmed onward ticket.
