Apply early — no visa on arrival
Mauritius does not offer visa on arrival for Pakistani passport holders. You must apply online before you travel. Processing can take up to 5 business days, so don't leave it to the last minute.
Keep digital copies of everything
Save your visa approval, flight booking, and hotel confirmation as PDFs on your phone. Also keep a printed backup in your carry-on. Immigration may ask to see any of these at the counter.

Apply for your visa online
Go to epassport.govmu.org, create an account, fill in the application form, upload your passport scan and photo, and pay the fee (around MUR 1,000–2,000 / USD 25–50). Processing takes 2–5 business days. You'll receive an approval email — save it.

Pack your documents
Print or save on your phone: the visa approval email, your passport (valid 6+ months), return flight booking, and first night hotel confirmation. Keep them in a folder or a dedicated phone album.

Arrive at Mauritius airport
At Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (MRU), follow signs to 'Immigration'. Join the queue for non-citizens. Have your passport and visa approval ready. The officer will stamp you in — usually takes 2–5 minutes.

Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, pick up your bags from the carousel. Customs is usually quick — just walk through the green channel if you have nothing to declare. Then you're free to leave the arrivals hall.
