What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Libyan eVisa website, fill out the application, upload your passport scan and photo, and pay the fee. Processing usually takes 3–7 business days. You'll receive the approved visa by email.
2
Print or save your eVisa
Print a paper copy of the eVisa approval email and also save a PDF on your phone. Immigration at Tripoli's Mitiga Airport (MJI) or Benghazi's Benina Airport (BEN) will ask to see it before they stamp you in.
3
Prepare your documents for arrival
Have your passport, eVisa printout, return ticket, and hotel booking ready in your hand luggage. At passport control, hand them over together — the officer will check everything before stamping.
4
Go through immigration
At the counter, the officer will scan your passport, check your eVisa, and ask a few questions (purpose of visit, where you're staying). Answer clearly. Once approved, you'll get an entry stamp — usually valid for up to 30 days.
