What happens at the border

Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Equatorial Guinea eVisa portal. Fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee online. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days.

Print your eVisa and travel documents
Once approved, print the eVisa confirmation. Also print or save offline copies of your return ticket, hotel booking, and insurance certificate. Keep them in your carry-on.

Arrive at the airport in Equatorial Guinea
You will land at Malabo International Airport (SSG) or Bata Airport (BSG). Go to the immigration queue for 'Foreign Passports'. Hand over your passport, printed eVisa, and return ticket. The officer may ask a few questions about your stay.

Receive your entry stamp
The officer will stamp your passport with the entry date. Check that the stamp is clear and the date is correct before leaving the counter. You are now cleared to enter.
