Yellow fever vaccine is mandatory
You must show your yellow fever vaccination certificate (yellow card) at immigration. No card = possible denial of entry or a fine. Get the shot at least 10 days before you fly.
Keep your eVisa approval on your phone
Printing is safest, but a clear screenshot of the PDF with the QR code works too. Immigration will scan it at the counter.
What happens at the border

Apply for the eVisa online
Go to visas.immigration.go.ug, create an account, fill in the form, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $50 for a single-entry tourist visa) with a credit card. Processing takes 2–5 business days.

Receive and print your eVisa approval
You'll get an email with a PDF approval letter. Print it and keep a copy on your phone. The letter has a QR code that immigration will scan.

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport
After landing, follow signs to 'Visa/Immigration'. Join the queue for 'eVisa holders'. Hand over your passport, printed eVisa, and return ticket. They'll stamp you in — no extra payment at the counter.

Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, pick up bags from the carousel, then go through customs (green channel if nothing to declare). You're in.
