180 days is a long time — plan your exit

Arrive at El Salvador International Airport (SAL)
You'll go through immigration at San Salvador's airport. Join the 'Foreigners' queue. Have your passport, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation ready. The officer will stamp your passport for up to 180 days. No visa or fee required.

Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, pick up your bags from the carousel and proceed through customs. You may be asked to declare goods. Then you're free to enter El Salvador.
