A Czech visa lets you travel to all 27 Schengen countries (France, Germany, Italy, etc.) for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Your first entry must be into the Czech Republic.

Book an appointment at the Czech Embassy in Kigali (KG 7 Ave, Kacyiru). Submit your documents in person. The embassy is open Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM. Expect to pay around €80 (approx. 90,000 RWF) for the visa fee.

Wait for processing
Processing takes 15–30 calendar days. During peak season (summer), it can take longer. Do not book non-refundable flights until you have the visa.

Collect your passport
Once approved, collect your passport from the embassy. Check the visa sticker carefully — make sure your name, dates, and number of entries are correct.

At Prague Václav Havel Airport (PRG), join the 'All Passports' queue. Have your passport, visa, return ticket, and accommodation proof ready. The officer may ask about your plans — answer clearly and briefly.
