Solomon Islands entry requirements for Singapore passport holders
Singapore passport holders can get a free visa on arrival in the Solomon Islands for stays up to 3 months, a policy in place since 2024. You'll need a valid passport, a return ticket, and proof of accommodation.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Visa on arrival Visa on arrival | Get your visa on arrival at Honiara International Airport. Have a printed copy of your hotel booking and return ticket ready — the immigration officer will ask for both. Fee is $100 SBD (about $12 USD) for a 30-day single-entry visa, payable in cash (Solomon Islands dollars or Australian dollars accepted). | Required |
| Valid passport Original passport with at least 6 months validity | Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Solomon Islands. The airline at check-in will enforce this — I've seen people turned away at Singapore Changi for having 5 months left. Bring a photocopy of the bio page as backup. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Proof of onward travel | Immigration at Honiara will ask for your onward ticket before stamping you in. Have a printed copy or show it on your phone. If you're island-hopping to Vanuatu or Fiji, a flight booking out of Solomon Islands works fine. | Required |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or host invitation | Have your first night's hotel confirmation ready — printed or on your phone. If staying with a friend, a letter of invitation with their address and phone number works. The officer at the visa-on-arrival counter will ask for it. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Cash or bank statement | Carry at least $1,000 USD equivalent in cash (Solomon Islands dollars or Australian dollars preferred) or have a bank statement showing you can cover your stay. ATMs are scarce outside Honiara — bring enough cash for your trip. | Recommended |
