Yellow fever certificate is mandatory
You must have a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate to enter Ghana. Get vaccinated at least 10 days before travel and carry the original certificate with your passport. Without it, you risk being denied entry.

The eVisa is not available on arrival. You must apply online before you travel and receive an approval letter. Print two copies and keep them with your travel documents.

Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Ghana eVisa website and complete the application form. Upload a recent passport-style photo, a clear scan of your passport bio page, and your flight itinerary. Pay the visa fee online with a credit or debit card. Save the confirmation email and the approval letter once it arrives.

Print your approval letter and documents
Once approved, print at least two copies of the visa approval letter. Also print your flight itinerary, hotel booking, and yellow fever certificate. Keep one set in your carry-on and one in your checked luggage.

Check in for your flight
At the airport in Slovenia, the airline check-in staff will ask to see your visa approval letter or visa. Have it ready on your phone or printed. They may also ask for your return ticket and yellow fever certificate.

Arrive at Kotoka International Airport in Accra
On arrival, follow the signs to immigration. Join the queue for foreign passports. Present your passport, visa approval letter, yellow fever certificate, and return ticket. The officer will check your documents and may ask a few questions about your trip.

Get your passport stamped and collect your luggage
After immigration, proceed to baggage claim. Once you have your bags, go through customs. You may need to show your visa approval letter again if asked. Declare any items as required.
