Passport validity is strictly enforced
Belize immigration checks the 6-month validity from your entry date, not your departure. If your passport expires sooner, you'll be denied boarding. Renew early.
Keep a copy of your return ticket
Immigration officers at BZE airport almost always ask for proof of onward travel. A screenshot on your phone is fine, but a printed copy is even better in case your battery dies.

Arrive at Belize immigration
At Philip Goldson International Airport (BZE) or any land border, join the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Have your passport, boarding pass, and return ticket ready.

Present documents to officer
Hand over your passport and any requested documents. The officer may ask your purpose of visit, length of stay, and where you're staying. Answer clearly and briefly.

Get stamped in
The officer will stamp your passport with an entry date. Check the stamp before walking away — make sure the date is correct. You're usually granted up to 30 days.

Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, pick up your bags from the carousel, then pass through customs. If you have nothing to declare, use the green channel.
