Slovak passport holders can visit Cape Verde without a visa for up to 30 days. This has been the case since 2019 and applies to tourism, business, and short family visits. Just make sure your passport is valid for at least six months from your arrival date.

Prepare your documents before departure
Check your passport validity (6+ months from arrival), print or screenshot your return ticket and first night's hotel booking. If you're flying from Lisbon or other European hubs, the airline will check these before issuing your boarding pass.

Arrive at Amílcar Cabral International Airport (Sal) or Nelson Mandela International Airport (Praia)
After landing, follow signs to 'Passport Control' (usually one queue for all nationalities). Have your passport and return ticket ready. The officer will stamp you in — no visa fee, no forms. The process takes 2–5 minutes per person.

Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, head to baggage claim, then customs (green channel for most travellers). No additional checks unless you're carrying restricted goods.
