Ukraine entry requirements for Slovakia passport holders
Slovak passport holders can enter Ukraine without a visa for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. This has been the case since 2017 and remains unchanged in 2026. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Valid passport Must be valid for entire stay | Your passport must be valid for the entire duration of your stay in Ukraine. No minimum validity beyond departure is required by law, but airlines may enforce a 3-month rule — check with your carrier before flying. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Proof of departure from Ukraine | Immigration officers at Kyiv Boryspil and Lviv airports routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready — a flight reservation or bus/train ticket out of Ukraine works. | Recommended |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or host invitation | Border guards sometimes ask where you're staying. A hotel confirmation email or a letter from a host with their address and phone number is enough. Keep it on your phone or printed. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Show you can support yourself | Ukraine does not enforce a fixed minimum amount, but officers may ask how you'll fund your trip. A bank statement showing a few hundred euros or a credit card with available limit usually satisfies them. | Recommended |
