United Arab Emirates entry requirements for Thailand passport holders
Thai passport holders need an eVisa to enter the United Arab Emirates for tourism or business. The process is entirely online via the ICA smart services portal, and you should apply at least a week before your trip. As of 2026, there is no visa-on-arrival option for Thai nationals.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|

| Valid passport Must be valid for at least 6 months | Your Thai passport must have at least 6 months of validity remaining from your date of entry into the UAE. Airlines check this at check-in, and immigration at Dubai or Abu Dhabi will deny boarding if it's shorter. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Required for entry | Immigration officers in the UAE routinely ask for proof of a return or onward flight. Have a printed or digital copy of your ticket ready. If you're on a one-way ticket, they may ask for a hotel booking or proof of funds. | Required |
| Proof of accommodation Recommended to have ready | While not always checked, having a hotel booking or a letter of invitation from a UAE resident host can speed things up. If you're staying with friends or family, they can provide a copy of their Emirates ID and tenancy contract. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Recommended to have ready | Officers may ask for proof you can support yourself during your stay. Have a bank statement or credit card showing at least 5,000 AED (roughly 50,000 THB) available. Cash is rarely checked but a card statement works fine. | Recommended |
