Prepare documents before departure
Print or save digital copies of your passport, return ticket, first-night accommodation booking, and travel insurance. Keep them in a folder on your phone or in your carry-on.

Arrive at Santiago International Airport (SCL) or other entry point
Most travelers fly into Santiago. After landing, follow signs to 'Migraciones' (Immigration). Queues can be long during peak hours (morning and evening).

Present your passport to the immigration officer
Hand over your passport. The officer may ask your purpose of visit, how long you're staying, and where you're staying. Answer briefly and honestly. They'll stamp your passport with the entry date and allowed stay.

Collect your luggage and proceed to customs
After immigration, pick up your bags from the carousel. Then go through customs — green channel if you have nothing to declare, red channel if you have goods over the duty-free limit.

Exit the airport
Once through customs, you're free to leave. Taxis and ride-shares (Uber, Cabify) are available outside. Keep your passport and entry stamp handy for hotel check-in.
