eVisa Only — No Visa on Arrival
Taiwan passport holders cannot get a visa at the airport. You must apply and receive approval online before departure. Don't risk showing up without one.
Passport Validity Counts from Entry Date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in Mongolia, not from when you apply. If it expires sooner, renew it first.

Apply for eVisa Online
Go to evisa.mn and fill out the application. Upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee online. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days, but apply at least a week before your trip.

Receive and Print eVisa
Once approved, you'll get a PDF via email. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and at immigration in Ulaanbaatar.

Prepare Documents for Departure
Before heading to the airport, gather: passport (valid 6+ months), printed eVisa, return ticket, hotel booking confirmation, and travel insurance details. Keep them in your carry-on.

Arrival at Ulaanbaatar (Chinggis Khaan International Airport)
After landing, follow signs to 'Foreign Passports' immigration counters. Present your passport, eVisa, and return ticket. The officer may ask about your accommodation and purpose of visit. Answer clearly. The process usually takes 5–10 minutes.

Collect Baggage and Exit
After immigration, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. If you have nothing to declare, use the green channel. You're free to enter Mongolia.
