Apply early — no walk-in visas
There is no visa on arrival for Tanzanian passport holders. You must apply online and receive approval before you fly. Processing can take up to a week, so don't leave it to the last minute.

Save your visa approval PDF, flight tickets, and hotel booking to your phone and email. If you lose your printed documents, you can show them on your phone at immigration.

Apply for your visa online
Go to visawebapp.boca.gov.tw, create an account, fill in your personal and travel details, upload a passport photo and scanned passport page, and submit. Wait for the approval email — typically 2–5 working days.

Print your visa approval notice
Once approved, you'll receive a PDF. Print it and keep it with your passport. You'll show it at check-in and on arrival in Taiwan.

Arrive at Taoyuan International Airport (TPE)
At immigration, present your passport, printed visa approval, and return ticket. The officer may ask about your accommodation and purpose of visit. Answer clearly. You'll receive an entry stamp valid for the duration on your visa.
