Apply for your ETA online

Book your flight and accommodation
Once your ETA is approved, book a return or onward flight and your first night's accommodation. Keep all confirmations saved on your phone.

At check-in, show your passport and ETA approval (if asked). The airline will verify your ETA electronically. Board your flight.

Go through Australian immigration
At the airport in Australia, join the queue for foreign passports. You'll be asked for your passport and may be asked about your stay, return ticket, and accommodation. Answer honestly. You can use the SmartGate kiosk if eligible (check signs).

Collect your bags and exit
