Ukrainian passport holders can enter Tajikistan without a visa for stays up to 90 days. This visa-free policy has been in place since 2022 and applies to tourism, business, and transit visits. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date.
Your passport must be valid for the full duration of your 90-day stay. Tajikistan does not require 6 months of validity beyond your departure date, but some airlines may enforce their own 6-month rule — check with your carrier before flying.
Required
Return or onward ticket
Recommended
Immigration officers at Dushanbe International Airport routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or a ticket to your next destination ready.
Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Recommended
Hotel bookings or a letter of invitation from a host in Tajikistan can be requested at the border. Keep a printed copy or a screenshot on your phone.
Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended
Carry evidence of sufficient funds for your stay — a bank statement or credit card showing access to at least $50 per day is usually enough. Officers rarely ask, but it helps if questioned.
Recommended
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you arrive in Tajikistan, not from your departure date. If it expires sooner, you'll be turned away at the border.
No extension available
The 90-day visa-free period cannot be extended. If you overstay, you risk fines and a re-entry ban. Plan your exit before day 90.
What happens at the border
1
Arrive at Dushanbe International Airport or land border
Most flights arrive at Dushanbe Airport. If coming overland from Uzbekistan or Kyrgyzstan, you'll cross at a land border post. Both work the same way — walk up to the immigration counter.
2
Present your passport and ticket
Hand over your passport and, if asked, your return ticket. The officer will check your passport validity and stamp you in. No visa application or fee needed.
3
Collect your luggage and exit
After the stamp, head to baggage claim (if flying), then customs. There's no arrival card to fill out for Ukrainian citizens.
Enter your arrival date and we'll tell you exactly when you need to leave.
