Visa on arrival is cash only
If you plan to get a visa on arrival at the airport, bring $25 USD in cash per person. ATMs are available after immigration, but the visa counter before immigration does not accept cards or other currencies.

Apply for e-visa online
Go to the official Egypt e-visa portal (visa2egypt.gov.eg) and fill out the application. Upload a passport-style photo and your passport data page. Pay the fee (around $25-$30 for single entry) and wait 3-7 business days for approval. Print the approval email or save the PDF on your phone.

Arrive at Egyptian airport
At Cairo International or other major airports, proceed to immigration. If you have an e-visa, show the printed or digital approval along with your passport. If you're getting a visa on arrival, go to the bank counter before immigration to purchase a visa sticker (about $25 USD, cash only). Then queue at immigration.

Present documents to immigration officer
Hand over your passport, visa (e-visa or on-arrival sticker), and return ticket if asked. The officer may ask about your hotel and purpose of visit. Answer clearly. They'll stamp your passport and you're in.
