What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Papua New Guinea eVisa website (or the authorised portal). Fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee with a credit or debit card. Processing takes 3–5 business days on average.
2
Receive and print your eVisa approval
Once approved, you'll get an email with your eVisa attached. Print a copy and also save a PDF on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival.
3
Prepare your documents for departure
Before heading to the airport, gather: your passport (valid 6+ months), printed eVisa, return/onward ticket (screenshot or print), first-night hotel booking, and travel insurance documents. Keep them in your carry-on.
4
Arrive at Port Moresby or other entry point
At immigration, present your passport and eVisa approval. The officer will check your passport validity, blank page, and may ask for your return ticket and accommodation. Answer clearly. You'll get an entry stamp — that's it.
