Eswatini entry requirements for Uganda passport holders
Ugandan passport holders can enter Eswatini without a visa for tourism or business stays up to 30 days. As of 2026, you simply arrive at King Mswati III International Airport or any land border and receive a free entry stamp. Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months from your arrival date.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Valid passport Must cover your entire stay in Eswatini | Your passport needs at least one blank page for the entry stamp. Eswatini does not enforce a 6-month validity rule — as long as your passport is valid for the duration of your stay, you are fine. Airlines sometimes ask for 6 months anyway, so check with your carrier before departure. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Immigration may ask for proof of departure | Have a printed or digital copy of your onward ticket ready. Eswatini immigration officers occasionally ask for proof that you are leaving within the 30-day visa-free period. A bus or flight ticket to South Africa or Mozambique works fine. | Recommended |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or host invitation | Carry a hotel confirmation or a letter from your host in Eswatini. Immigration rarely asks for it, but having it speeds things up if they do. A simple printout of your booking confirmation is enough. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Show you can support yourself during your stay | Have a bank statement or cash equivalent to roughly 500 SZL per day (about $30 USD). Immigration almost never checks this for short visits, but it is better to have a screenshot of your bank balance ready on your phone. | Recommended |
