What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the Nigeria Immigration portal (portal.immigration.gov.ng) and fill out the eVisa application. Upload a digital passport photo and your passport data page. Pay the visa fee online with a credit or debit card. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days.
2
Receive and print your eVisa
Once approved, you'll get an email with a PDF visa approval letter. Print at least one copy and save a digital copy on your phone. You'll show this at the airline check-in desk and on arrival in Nigeria.
3
Arrive at a Nigerian airport
Most international flights arrive at Lagos (LOS) or Abuja (ABV). Go to the 'Visa on Arrival / eVisa' counter. Present your passport, printed eVisa, and return ticket. An immigration officer will take your fingerprints and a photo, then stamp your passport.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, head to baggage claim. Customs is usually straightforward for personal items. If you have nothing to declare, use the green channel.
