Apply for a UK Standard Visitor Visa online
Go to gov.uk/apply-uk-visa. Fill out the online application form, pay the fee (£115 for a 6-month visa as of 2026), and book an appointment at the UK Visa Application Centre in Tashkent (or the nearest centre if you're elsewhere).

Attend the biometric appointment
Go to the visa application centre on your appointment date. Bring your printed application, passport, and supporting documents. They'll take your photo and fingerprints. This usually takes 15–30 minutes.

Wait for a decision
Standard processing is 3–6 weeks. You can track your application online. If approved, your passport will be returned with the visa vignette inside. Do not book flights until you have the visa in hand.

Arrive in the UK and go through Border Control
At the airport (Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, etc.), join the 'All Other Passports' queue. Hand over your passport with the visa. The officer may ask about your trip, accommodation, and return plans. Answer honestly and briefly.

No. Standard visitor visas are not extendable. You must leave before the visa expiry date. If you need to stay longer, you'd need to apply for a different visa category from outside the UK.
You don't need to submit a flight booking with the application, but you must show you intend to leave the UK. Many applicants include a dummy booking or a detailed travel itinerary. At the border, you may be asked for proof of onward travel.
