Visa on arrival is the standard entry method
You don't need to apply for an e-visa beforehand. Just show up at Kigali airport or any land border with your passport, return ticket, accommodation booking, and USD 50. The process takes 5–10 minutes.
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Rwanda. If it's close to expiring, renew it before you go. No exceptions.

Arrive at Kigali International Airport (or land border)
Follow signs to 'Visa on Arrival' or 'Immigration'. At Kigali airport, it's the same counter as regular immigration — just tell the officer you need a visa on arrival.

Present your documents and pay the fee
Hand over your passport, return ticket (screenshot is fine), and accommodation booking. Pay USD 50 (cash or card). The officer will issue a visa sticker in your passport.

Receive your visa and proceed to baggage claim
The visa is usually processed in 5–10 minutes. Once stamped, you're free to enter. Collect your bags and exit.
