Vietnamese passport holders must get an eVisa to enter Burkina Faso. The entire process is online — no embassy visit needed. Since 2026, the eVisa is the standard entry method for tourism and short business trips.

Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory
You must carry your International Certificate of Vaccination (yellow card). Immigration at Ouagadougou Airport may ask to see it. Without it, you could be denied entry or forced to get vaccinated on the spot.
eVisa is the only option for Vietnamese passport holders
There is no visa-on-arrival or visa-free entry for Vietnamese citizens. You must obtain the eVisa before travel. No embassy visit required.

Apply for the eVisa online
Go to visaburkina.bf, fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport-style photo, and pay the fee. Processing usually takes 2–3 business days. You'll receive the approval by email.

Print or save your eVisa
Once approved, print a paper copy and also save the PDF on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival.

Prepare your documents for departure
At check-in, the airline will ask for your eVisa, passport, and return ticket. Have them ready to avoid delays.

Arrive at Ouagadougou Airport
After landing, proceed to the immigration hall. Present your passport, eVisa, and return ticket. The officer will stamp you in. The whole process usually takes 10–15 minutes.
