Apply for your ETA early

Approval is usually sent to your email within 24–72 hours. For a faster service, you can pay a higher fee for same-day processing. Print a copy or save it on your phone — you'll need to show it at check-in and possibly at immigration.

At the airport, the airline will verify your ETA before giving you a boarding pass. Have your passport and ETA approval ready.

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB)
After landing, follow signs to 'Immigration' or 'Visas'. Join the queue for 'Foreign Passports'. Have your passport, ETA approval, and return ticket ready. The officer will stamp your passport with a 30-day tourist visa.

Collect your luggage and exit
After clearing immigration, collect your bags from the carousel and proceed through customs. You're free to enter Sri Lanka.
