Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your passport needs to be valid for the entire time you're in the Maldives. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires before you leave, you'll be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from the Maldives
Immigration officers always ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. If you're island-hopping, a ticket to another country works — just show it at the counter.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel or resort booking confirmation
Most resorts require a booking confirmation for their speedboat or seaplane transfer. Have a printed or digital copy ready — immigration rarely asks, but the resort transfer desk won't let you board without it.Recommended

Mandatory online pre-registration
