Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before departure
Apply at evisa.gov.kh at least 3 business days before travel. The eVisa costs $30 USD and is valid for a single entry up to 30 days. You'll receive a PDF — print it and carry it with your passport.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for 6 months beyond arrival
Your Swiss passport needs at least 6 months of validity remaining from your arrival date in Cambodia. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you'll be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Cambodia
Immigration officers routinely ask for a flight out of Cambodia within your visa validity. Have a printed or digital copy of your onward ticket ready — they will check it before stamping you in.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel confirmation or a letter of invitation from your host. Officers rarely ask for it, but having it avoids delays if they do.Recommended
Proof of funds
Cash or bank statement
Have at least $500 USD in cash or a recent bank statement showing sufficient funds. Immigration may ask to see it, especially if you're arriving without a return ticket.Recommended
Cash Only for Visa Fee
The visa on arrival fee must be paid in US dollars cash. No cards, no other currencies. Bring exact change if possible — officers may not have change for large bills.
e-Visa Alternative
You can also apply for an e-Visa online before you travel. It costs $36 USD, takes 3 business days to process, and lets you skip the visa-on-arrival queue. Use it for air arrivals only.
