RequirementDetailsStatus

Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your passport needs to be valid for your entire stay in Colombia. No minimum validity period beyond your departure date is required by Colombian law, but airlines may enforce their own 6-month rule — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Colombia
Immigration officers at Bogotá and Medellín airports routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready — they will check the date matches your intended stay.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a hotel confirmation or a letter from your host with their full address and phone number. Officers rarely ask for it, but having it avoids delays if they do.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have access to at least $200 USD per day of your stay, either in cash, credit card, or bank statement. Officers almost never check this for Czech passport holders, but it's a formal requirement.Recommended

Mandatory online form within 72 hours of departure
Fill out the free Check-Mig form at migracioncolombia.gov.co within 72 hours before your flight. You get a QR code — save it on your phone or print it. Officers scan it at immigration, and without it you may be denied boarding.Open Check-Mig formRequired
Check-Mig is mandatory
Complete the free Check-Mig form at migracioncolombia.gov.co within 72 hours before your flight. Save the QR code on your phone — it speeds up immigration and avoids problems.

Frequently asked questions

No, the standard 90-day visa-free stay cannot be extended. If you want to stay longer, you'd need to leave Colombia and re-enter, or apply for a different visa type before your 90 days are up.
You'll likely be denied boarding by the airline or refused entry by Colombian immigration. Renew your passport before traveling.
Not required for entry from Europe, but recommended if you plan to visit jungle areas (e.g., Amazon, Tayrona). Some countries may require proof if you're arriving from a yellow fever endemic area.
Technically, the visa-free entry is for tourism only. Remote work for a foreign employer is a gray area — many digital nomads do it, but officially you'd need a work visa. Check with the Colombian consulate if you're unsure.
You'll be fined and may face a ban from re-entering Colombia. The fine is around 2-3 USD per day overstayed, paid at immigration when you leave. Avoid it.
Yes. It's a legal requirement. Without it, you may be denied boarding or face delays at immigration. It's free and takes 5 minutes online.
