No visa on arrival — apply before you fly
Ghanaian passport holders cannot get a visa at the airport. You must have an approved e-Visa before you board your flight to Armenia. Airlines will check this at check-in.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in Armenia, not from the day you apply for the visa or the day you depart. Double-check your expiry date before booking anything.

Apply for your e-Visa online
Go to the official Armenian e-Visa portal at evisa.mfa.am. Fill in the application form, upload a digital passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the visa fee online. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days, but can be faster. You'll receive the approved visa by email — print a copy and save a PDF on your phone.

Prepare your documents for travel
Before you leave, gather: your printed e-Visa, passport with 6+ months validity, return/onward ticket, first-night accommodation confirmation, and travel insurance documents. Keep them in a single folder in your carry-on.

Arrive at Zvartnots International Airport (EVN)
When you land in Yerevan, follow signs to 'Passport Control'. Join the queue for foreign passports. Have your passport, printed e-Visa, and return ticket ready. The officer will check your visa, stamp your passport, and ask a few questions (purpose of visit, where you're staying). Answer clearly and briefly.

Collect your luggage and exit
After passport control, proceed to baggage claim. Once you have your bags, walk through the green 'Nothing to Declare' channel if you have no goods to declare. If you're carrying more than 10,000 USD (or equivalent) in cash or valuables, use the red channel and declare them.
