eTA is not a visa sticker
The Kenya eTA is an electronic authorization linked to your passport. You don't need to visit an embassy or get a sticker. Just apply online, get approved, and show the email at immigration.

Only use the official Kenya eTA website: etakenya.go.ke. Many third-party sites charge extra fees and may not process your application correctly. The official site is straightforward and costs $30.

Apply for eTA online
Go to the official Kenya eTA website (etakenya.go.ke). Fill in your personal details, passport info, travel dates, and accommodation. Upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $30 USD) with a credit card. Submit and wait for approval — typically 3 business days.

Receive eTA approval
You'll get an email with your eTA approval. Print a copy and save a PDF on your phone. The eTA is linked to your passport number, so you don't need to carry the paper, but it's good to have a backup.

Arrive at JKIA (Nairobi) or Moi International (Mombasa)
At immigration, join the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Hand over your passport and printed eTA. The officer will check your passport validity, blank page, and may ask for your return ticket and accommodation. They'll stamp you in — usually for up to 90 days.

Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, head to baggage claim, then customs. If you have nothing to declare, go through the green channel. You're in.
