Before you fly, go to https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv and fill in the free arrival declaration. You'll get a QR code — save it or print it. This is mandatory and speeds up the queue at Malé International Airport.

Arrive at Malé International Airport (MLE)
After landing, follow signs to 'Immigration' or 'Visa on Arrival'. Join the queue for foreign passport holders. Have your passport, IMUGA QR code, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation ready.

Receive your visa stamp
The immigration officer will stamp your passport with a 30-day visa on arrival. No fee. No interview. The whole process usually takes 5–15 minutes.

Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. You're free to enter the Maldives.
