Taiwan entry requirements for Norway passport holders
Norwegian passport holders can visit Taiwan for up to 90 days without a visa. This applies to tourism, business, and transit. Your passport must meet the validity rules before you travel.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Valid passport Must cover your entire stay in Taiwan | Your Norwegian passport needs to be valid for the full duration of your stay in Taiwan. Taiwan does not require 6 months of remaining validity beyond your departure date, but some airlines may enforce this — check with your carrier before flying. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Proof of departure from Taiwan | Immigration officers at Taoyuan Airport routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready. This applies even for short stays. | Recommended |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or host invitation | Carry a printed or digital hotel reservation, or a letter of invitation from your host in Taiwan. Officers rarely ask for it, but having it ready avoids delays. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Show you can support yourself during the stay | Have a bank statement or credit card showing access to at least 20,000 TWD (approx 600 EUR) for the trip. Immigration rarely checks this for Norwegian passport holders, but it's smart to have it on your phone. | Recommended |
