Tanzania entry requirements for Singapore passport holders
Singapore passport holders can enter Tanzania without a visa for tourism or business visits of up to 90 days. This visa-free arrangement has been in place since 2024 and applies to all entry points, including Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro International Airport.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Valid passport Must cover your entire stay in Tanzania | Your passport needs at least one blank page for the entry stamp. Tanzania does not require 6 months validity beyond your departure date — just enough to cover your stay. Airlines may still enforce 6 months, so check with your carrier before flying. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Proof of departure from Tanzania | Immigration officers at Julius Nyerere and Kilimanjaro airports routinely ask for a confirmed onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready. Overland exits are less strict, but still carry proof. | Recommended |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or invitation letter | Carry a printed hotel confirmation or a letter from your host. Officers rarely ask for it at the desk, but having it ready avoids delays if they do. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Evidence of sufficient money for your stay | Have a bank statement or cash equivalent to about $200–$300 USD for a short trip. Immigration may ask how you plan to cover expenses, especially if you arrive without a return ticket. | Recommended |
