What happens at the border

Fill out the visa-on-arrival form
On the plane or at the airport immigration counter, grab an arrival card and visa application form. Fill in your details — passport number, flight, hotel address. Keep your passport photo handy to attach.

Queue at the Visa on Arrival counter
At Phnom Penh or Siem Reap airports, follow signs to 'Visa on Arrival' before passport control. Hand over your form, passport, photo, and $30 cash. The officer will process and give you a receipt.

Pay and collect your visa sticker
Wait a few minutes — they'll call your name or number. Pay the fee (exact USD preferred). They'll stick the visa into your passport. Double-check the validity dates before walking away.

Proceed to passport control
Join the main immigration queue. Present your passport with the new visa sticker, arrival card, and boarding pass. The officer may ask about your return ticket or hotel — have them ready.

Collect your luggage and exit
After passport control, head to baggage claim. Then walk through customs (usually nothing to declare). You're in Cambodia.
