IMUGA form is mandatory
You must complete the free IMUGA arrival declaration at https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv within 96 hours of your flight landing. Without it, you'll be delayed at immigration. Save the QR code to your phone.
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Immigration will check your passport validity from your arrival date, not your departure. If you have less than 6 months, you will be denied boarding by your airline or refused entry. Renew early.

Go to https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv and fill in your details. Do this within 96 hours of your flight landing. You'll get a QR code — screenshot it.

Arrive at Velana International Airport (MLE)
After landing, follow signs to immigration. Join the 'Visa on Arrival' queue. Have your passport, boarding pass, and IMUGA QR code ready.

Present documents at counter
Hand over your passport, the officer checks your details, stamps it, and you're in. They may ask for your return ticket or hotel booking — have them ready.

Collect luggage and exit
After the stamp, head to baggage claim, then customs. No fees to pay. You're free to go.
