What happens at the border

1
Arrival at Lima Airport (Jorge Chávez)
After landing, follow signs to 'Migraciones' (Immigration). Join the queue for foreign passports. Have your passport and return/onward ticket ready. The officer will stamp your passport with a tourist entry stamp valid for up to 180 days. The process usually takes 5–15 minutes.
2
Arrival at other Peruvian airports
Same process as Lima. At smaller airports like Cusco or Arequipa, queues are shorter. Still have your passport and onward ticket ready.
3
Land border crossings
If entering by land from Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, or Bolivia, go to the immigration booth at the border. Present your passport and onward ticket. You'll receive a tourist stamp. Keep the stamped card (if given) — you'll need it when exiting.
