Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your passport needs to be valid for your entire stay in Singapore. Singapore does not require 6 months of validity beyond your departure date, but some airlines may enforce this — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Singapore
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready — they check this at the counter before you reach the officer.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a hotel confirmation or a letter of invitation from your host in Singapore. Officers rarely ask for it, but having it ready avoids delays if they do.Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient cash or bank statement
Have access to at least 1,000 SGD in cash, a credit card, or a recent bank statement. Immigration may ask how you plan to fund your stay — show a card or cash on hand.Recommended
6-month passport validity is strictly enforced
Airlines will check this before you board. If your passport expires within 6 months of your entry date, you will be denied boarding. No exceptions.
No arrival declaration needed
Portuguese passport holders do not need to fill out any arrival card or online declaration. Just walk through immigration with your passport.

What happens at the border

1
Prepare your documents
Before you leave, check your passport validity (6+ months from entry date), print or save your return ticket and first-night hotel booking, and consider getting travel insurance and an eSIM.
2
Arrive at Changi Airport
You will go through immigration at Changi Airport (SIN). Join the 'All Passports' queue. Have your passport and boarding pass ready. The officer may ask for your return ticket and hotel address — have them accessible on your phone.
3
Receive your entry stamp
The officer will stamp your passport with a 90-day visit pass. Check the stamp says '90 days' before leaving the counter. If it shows a shorter period, ask for clarification immediately.
4
Exit and enjoy Singapore
After clearing immigration, collect your luggage and proceed through customs. There are no arrival declarations or fees for Portuguese passport holders. You are free to explore Singapore for up to 90 days.
