Apply early — processing can be slow

Keep digital copies of everything

Apply for the e-Visa online
Go to the Jordanian Ministry of Interior e-services portal (eservices.moi.gov.jo). Create an account, fill in your personal details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the visa fee online. Processing usually takes 3–10 business days, but can be longer — apply at least 3 weeks before your trip.

Wait for approval and print the visa
Once approved, you'll receive a PDF visa document via email. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and at immigration in Jordan.

Before heading to the airport, gather: your printed e-Visa, passport (6+ months validity), return/onward ticket confirmation, and first night hotel booking. Keep them in a folder you can grab quickly.

Arrive at Queen Alia International Airport (AMM)
When you land in Amman, follow signs to 'Passport Control'. Join the queue for foreign passports. Hand over your passport, printed e-Visa, and boarding pass. The officer may ask for your return ticket and hotel booking — have them ready. They'll stamp your passport and let you through. The whole process usually takes 15–30 minutes if the queue is short.
