Apply early — don't leave it to the last minute

Keep digital copies of everything
Save your e-Visa, passport, and return ticket as PDFs on your phone and in cloud storage. If you lose your printed copy, you can still show the digital version at immigration.

Apply for e-Visa online
Go to www.etakenya.go.ke, fill in the application, upload your passport scan and a passport photo, pay the fee (around $30-50 USD depending on visa type), and wait for approval. Processing usually takes 2-5 business days.

Print or save your e-Visa
Once approved, you'll get a PDF. Print a copy and save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival in Kenya.

Arrive at JKIA (Nairobi) or Moi International (Mombasa)
At immigration, join the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Have your passport, e-Visa printout, and return ticket ready. The officer will stamp you in — usually takes 2-5 minutes.
